Getting Started
Welcome to SignFlow
A quick tour of the three building blocks: templates, envelopes, and recipients.
What SignFlow does
SignFlow lets your organization prepare documents once and send them out for signature again and again, without re-placing fields every time. There are three core concepts:
- Template — a reusable document with fields (signature, initials, text, date, etc.) already placed on it, plus one or more roles describing who needs to do what.
- Envelope — a real, sendable copy of a template with actual people assigned to each role.
- Recipient — a specific person attached to an envelope, in a specific role, who signs, approves, or just receives a copy.
The typical flow
- Build a template once in the Template Designer — upload a document and place fields on it, then define who needs to interact with each field via roles.
- When you're ready to collect a real signature, create an envelope from that template and assign an actual person to each role.
- Send the envelope. SignFlow emails each recipient a unique, secure signing link.
- Recipients sign in whatever order you configured (all at once, or one after another).
- Once everyone required has finished, SignFlow finalizes the document, generates a signed PDF, and notifies everyone.
